Cristiano Ronaldo is undeniably one of the best soccer players in the world and thankfully didn't let his ego get in the way of his team's performance at the world cup games in Qatar. Read more here.

Ronaldo has suffered some 'brand-bruising' over the last few months by publicly arguing with Manchester United team management. Most recently, he has argued with his Portuguese Team's coach and his performance so far at the world cup in Qatar hasn't matched expectations. Surprisingly to many, 70% of Portuguese fans said he doesn't deserve to be on the starting line-up for their next game! To add insult to injury, the Portuguese team's coach decided to remove him from his usual place in the starting line-up as the team captain and instead join the rest of his teammates on the bench, hoping to get playtime. Ouch, that would hurt anyone's ego and brand.

Known for his 'sulky reactions', the world watched Ronaldo's reaction from his first time seat on the team's bench... but he pleasantly surprised those who doubted he could be professional about his situation. Seen celebrating and congratulating his teammates, Ronaldo appeared fully engaged and supportive of his team's performance and showed no signs of what many expected to be arrogance or disdain for their coach's decision to remove him from a starting position.

Bravo Ronaldo! Staying professional, even on your worst day or in your worst moments is always the way to go to make a bad situation better. I hope others watched and learned how to avoid a Brand Rewind moment!
